In regard to “After Rockets?” (AW&ST Oct. 24/31 p. 76), the colonization/escape-from-Earth notion is a very poor justification for advancing space travel. Consider Antarctica: Even if there were no treaties forbidding it, I doubt there would be much interest in building a housing development there...
