Spairliners, Fokker Enter E-Jet MRO Partnership

Spairliners, a subsidiary of Lufthansa Technik and AFI KLM E&M, has signed a component repair partnership with independent MRO Fokker Services relating to Embraer E-Jet family aircraft.

The agreement, signed last month but announced on Tuesday (November 9), will focus see Hamburg, Germany-based Fokker carry out maintenance services on several line replaceable units related to power generation, bleed air valves, starters and avionics. 

All units will be repaired in-house at Fokker Services' facilities in the Netherlands and the U.S by Fokker, which specializes in component services for the E-Jet family, comprised of E170/175 and E190/195 series, along with the Airbus A380 aircraft.

Benoit Rollier, managing director and CFO of Spairliners, says the long-term partnership will strengthen its supplier network with a partner that has both capability and presence in Europe and the U.S. 

“Our collaboration with Fokker Services will help us to further increase the efficiency of our operations through better turn-around times and higher availability,” says Rollier, who adds that  the company plans to expand in the Americas region.
