Skandia’s advanced flammability testing laboratory earned its ISO 17025 accreditation through American Association for Laboratory Accreditation designation. The accreditation includes Skandia’s process, training and testing procedures for flammability testing technicians. The ISO 17025 is an international flammability testing requirement for Airbus and Boeing commercial, military and executive aircraft.
In-House Testing

The in-house flammability testing Skandia includes a staff of flammability testing experts, DERs and DARs to fulfill testing requirements. Its offering includes an “all inclusive” services and pricing for the 562-DER approved engineering documentation and flammability testing required for dress cover changes on TSO’d aircraft seats.
12 Different Tests

Skandia’s A2LA certification qualifies it to administer 12 different flammability tests. These tests include the horizontal burn, 12-second and 60 second vertical, waste containment, oil burn, 45 and 60 degree angle, thermal acoustic flame propagation, heat release, smoke emission and smoke toxicity tests.
