SIA Engineering Company (SIAEC) is a major provider of aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services in the Asia-Pacific region, with core businesses in base maintenance, line maintenance, engine and component services. We have a client base of over 80 international carriers and aerospace Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and hold approvals from 29 national aviation regulatory authorities, such as FAA, EASA and CAAS.

Our base maintenance has strong capabilities in current and new generation Airbus and Boeing aircraft types such as A350 and 787. Our network comprises six hangars in Singapore (including a paint hangar) and three hangars in Philippines, with the potential addition of two hangar facilities in Subang, Malaysia. Our facility in Singapore is one of the few MROs in the world that has a dedicated A380 hangar for A380 airframe maintenance. We are also proud to be the authorised repair centre for Boeing 787 Dreamliner wing/horizontal stabilizer paint restoration.

SIAEC

SIAEC’s extensive line maintenance network operates across more than 30 airports across eight countries. We continue to expand our network by signing an agreement with Cambodia Airport Investment Co., Ltd to form a line maintenance joint venture in Cambodia and this is expected to be operational in 2025. In addition, we signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Xiamen IPORT Group to explore potential MRO collaboration in Fujian, China.

As we continue to build new capabilities to meet the evolving requirements of customers, SIAEC has grown its MRO ecosystem to 22 subsidiaries and joint ventures (JVs) with leading OEMs and strategic partners. These capabilities have enabled us to offer comprehensive support for our customers in this region.

Cabin Maintenance

Recently, we increased our shareholding in JAMCO Aero Design & Engineering (JADE), our JV with JAMCO Corporation, to 55%. This has enabled us to have a greater focus in building and growing our cabin maintenance and retrofit capabilities, including cabin parts fabrication, refurbishment services, as well as engineering design and certification. Furthermore, Asia Pacific Aircraft Component Services (APACS), our component subsidiary in Malaysia, has secured repair licensing rights for Honeywell Air Data Inertial Reference Unit (ADIRU). We also signed an agreement to form a component JV with Eaton for Eaton-manufactured components installed on airframe and engine fuel systems and hydraulics systems.

To boost our competitiveness, SIAEC undertook a successful three-year Transformation programme that enabled us to enhance productivity and efficiency through digitalisation, automation and adoption of Lean framework. We will continue to build new capabilities and expand our geographical network to better serve our customers.
