Revima has announced the addition of a new auxiliary power unit repair program along with landing gear repair capability additions at another of its facilities in France.

The French company announced Monday (Oct. 16) the extension of landing gear capabilities to its site in Yainville, Normandy, where its material solutions business is located. The facility is in close proximity to its main location in Rives-en-Seine, northern France.

The new repair capability covers minor repairs and recertification aimed at addressing the mid-life solutions market. According to Revima, the rating initially covers Airbus A320 and A330 family aircraft landing gears but this is expected to be extended to more platforms in the coming months.

Olivier Legrand, Revima Group president and CEO, says the extension of landing gear repair capability to Yainville was driven by a combination of market demand and capacity needs. “The increasing demand of mid-life landing gear solutions has convinced us of the necessity to create a 'dedicated minor repair and recertification' shop, as our main MRO site in Normandy, France enjoys significant growth for overhaul activities that leave little space and slots for such activities,” he says.

“These new capabilities will allow our material solutions business to adequately respond to associated market demands with high quality and responsive services," adds Legrand.

In a second announcement this week, Revima also revealed its new auxiliary power unit (APU) offering includes digital expertise of its aircraft data management subsidiary FlightWatching.

Named APU Care, the program combines several pillars including Predictive Care, encompassing real-time predictive maintenance software aimed at cutting unscheduled APU maintenance; APU Fuel Saver, which includes real-time monitoring of APU usage and associated aircraft turnaround operations; and On-Wing Care, a specialized working party to support on-wing repair at any operator location worldwide.
