Iberia Converts First A330 Into Freighter
Iberia has converted its first Airbus A330 from a passenger to freighter aircraft. The work was carried out by its Iberia Maintenance division.
Airinmar Signs Warranty Support Agreement with Volaris
Airinmar has signed a new three-year support services agreement with Volaris covering the provision of new aircraft warranty services to augment and support the airline’s internal management team and maximize the recovery of entitlements. The services will cover airframe, engines and components, and entail warranty detection, claim management and benefit recovery.
Magnetic MRO, TrueNoord Pen CAMO Agreement
Magnetic MRO has signed a CAMO service agreement with regional aircraft leasing company TrueNoord. The agreement includes the re-delivery of two Mitsubishi Heavy Industries CRJ900 type aircraft from a previous operator and all engineering services related to maintaining the aircraft in an airworthy and controlled environment.
CAS Signs Line Maintenance Contract
Certified Aviation Services has signed a new partnership agreement with Amerijet International. The company will provide MRO support to Amerijet’s Boeing 767s for their new operations in Ontario, California.
Snap-On Debuts Aviation MRO Pro Tool Set
Snap-on Industrial has debuted a new Aviation MRO Pro Tool Set, which comes with more than 500 tools specifically selected for aviation MRO. The set comes with a variety of hand, power, structure, torque, inspection and safety tools housed in an 11-Drawer Double-Bank Master Series Roll Cab with foam cutouts for visual tool control. Snap-on says sets can be ordered with access control to provide the roll cab with a higher level of security.
Duncan Aviation Introduces New Data and Wi-Fi Services
Duncan Aviation has teamed up with KGB Aviation Solutions to provide a new data analysis service for flight data recorders and cockpit voice recorders. It will use KGB’s Solutions Data Acquisition Retrieval Tool to download data, analyze it and provide a comprehensive report of the anomalies found. Duncan Aviation has also developed an STC in collaboration with Gulfstream for the certification, equipment and installation of the Gogo Business Aviation AVANCE L5 Wi-Fi system for G200 and Galaxy aircraft.
Tamarack Aerospace Performs First Active Winglet Installations
Tamarack Aerospace has announced the first series of Active Winglet installations on two Cessna Citation jets at its new European Installation Centre at London-oxford Airport in the UK. It says it is seeing more demand for the installations as word spreads about how the modification saves up to 33% of fuel usage, cuts down on noise pollution and provides safer, smoother flight.
Jet East Expands U.S. AOG Coverage
Jet East Corporate Aviation has announced it is expanding its AOG network in the Midwest region of the U.S. to include Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Missouri, Iowa and Nebraska in response to customer demand and evaluation of incoming maintenance requests. Its 50 member AOG team already has a significant presence in the Northeast corridor and Great Lakes region of the U.S., and recently opened an AOG operation in Arizona.
ATR Increases Upgrade Offerings
ATR has released two new editions of its Upgrades Catalogues, increasing its offerings of upgrade solutions for operators from 90-120. It says the creation of a catalogue of external changes (STCs and minor modifications developed by external DOA partners) is a major step forward for it, and it can now complement its own expertise with external partners such as Aero Engineering Services, Akka Technologies, ECM Skyservices, Eirtech Aviation Services, PMV Engineering and Recaero.
Spirit Airlines Signs Maintenance Agreement with GlobalX
Spirit Airlines has signed an initial agreement with Global Crossing Airlines—or GlobalX—to provide on-call and line maintenance to support its fleet of Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft. The contract will start in December when GlobalX plans to take delivery of its first A320 and A321s.
