LATAM Extends Drone Inspection Usage
LATAM has extended its use of Donecle drones, which it first deployed in 2020 at its Sao Carlos, Brazil facilities. It says the drones have reduced exterior aircraft fuselage inspections from eight hours to 40 min. It plans to extend drone usage to its maintenance center in Santiago, Chile in the coming weeks.

Asia Digital Engineering Plans MRO Workforce Growth
Asia Digital Engineering has announced that it plans to create hundreds of employment opportunities to facilitate its strong forecast growth in MRO. It says it has already recruited over 100 engineering roles in Malaysia.

New FL Technics Engine Services Facility
FL Technics Engine Services has moved to a new purpose-built facility next to Kaunas International Airport to meet growing demand. The new facility is located near FL Technics’ logistics hub, which it says will enable more efficient maintenance and repair services.

SIAEC Adds 737/787 ADIRU Repair Capability
SIA Engineering Company Limited (SIAEC) has signed a memorandum of agreement with Honeywell for the licensing of repair capability for the Air Data Inertial Reference Unit (ADIRU) on Boeing 737s and 787s.  The 10-year licensing agreement enables SIAEC to perform licensed ADIRU repair for global customers and also includes piece parts supply to support repairs.

A-Technics Gets New FATA Approvals
Russia’s Federal Air Transport Agency has given A-Technics’ line maintenance station at Sochi Airport approval to perform maintenance of Airbus A320 aircraft with IAE V2500 engines. It has also given A-Technics approval to perform periodic maintenance of A330 aircraft and to repair passenger seats. It plans to open a new passenger seat repair area at its Moscow Sheremetyevo Airport facility.

StandardAero Expands Support for UK and EMEA Operators
StandardAero has completed the first stage of building a new Mobile Service Team to support customers in the UK, Europe, Middle East and Africa regions. The teams will provide 24/7 services including AOG and technical support, troubleshooting, borescope inspections, engine removal/reinstallation and line maintenance.
