Egyptair M&E Starts Line Maintenance in Accra
Egyptair Maintenance & Engineering has begun providing line maintenance services at Kotoka International Airport in Accra, Ghana. In addition to supporting Egyptair’s fleet, the station’s first third party customer is Qatar Airways.
New Austrian Technik CTO
Austrian Technik has appointed Michael Lariviere as its new Chief Technical Officer. He has served in various technical roles at Lufthansa and Lufthansa Technik since 1994. Lariviere succeeds Michael Kaye, who is starting a new role within the Lufthansa Group.
GA Telesis Forms Power Solutions Team
GA Telesis has formed a new Power Solutions Team under its Flight Solutions Group to manage APU asset management, trading and USM distribution, including line replaceable units. The team currently manages all Airbus and Boeing platforms and plans to add the regional jet market to its capabilities soon.
Wizz Air Renews flydocs Agreement
Wizz Air has renewed its agreement with flydocs for digital records management and technical services, extending the agreement by another five years. It says flydocs’ approach to the digitization of aircraft maintenance records will enhance its technical and operational performance.
Turkish Technic Gets flydubai Contract
Turkish Technic has signed an agreement with flydubai for C check operations on Boeing 737NG aircraft. The agreement covers two aircraft, the first of which will begin in March.
New VP Maintenance at Mesa Air Group
Mesa Air Group has appointed Christian Daoud as its new vice president of maintenance and technical operations. Daoud began his career with Mesa as a lead aircraft mechanic in 2006 and most recently has served as senior director of technical operations.
SAMCO Gets EASA E-Jet E2 Maintenance Approval
Netherlands-based independent MRO SAMCO has received EASA approval for Embraer E-Jet E2 maintenance. It says the new approval comes in line with an increase in requests for support on the aircraft platform.
ST Engineering and Vietjet Component Support Contract
Vietjet has signed a component Maintenance-By-the-Hour contract with ST Engineering, under which ST Engineering will provide the airline with a full suite of component support solutions for its entire fleet, including pooling, repair, overhaul, modification, main base kits, component health monitoring and logistics services.
HAECO Gets A320 Landing Gear Capabilities
HAECO Landing Gear Services has achieved certification from the FAA, European Union Aviation Safety Agency and Civil Aviation Administration of Thailand for Airbus A320 landing gear overhauls.
New GSE Distributor Partnerships
Carolina GSE/PilotJohn.com has entered a new distributor partnership with WAT Whelen GSE. Under the partnership, Carolina GSE will stock and distribute WAT Whelen GSE’s product line of high-performance lighting. It has also partnered with Barry Mounts and will stock and distribute a wide variety of aircraft engine mounts used to solve aircraft shock, vibration and noise challenges.
