GA Telesis Signs Avionics Agreement with Honeywell
GA Telesis has signed a seven-year agreement with Honeywell to become an exclusive provider of avionics components for Embraer E-Jet and E-Jet 2 aircraft. The agreement, which is effective immediately, has the option for a five-year extension.

Smartavia Picks Lufthansa Technik for A320neo Component Support
Russian airline Smartavia has signed a Total Component support agreement with Lufthansa Technik covering its latest fleet of Airbus A320neos over a period of six years. Under the contract, a pool of homebase stock has been set up at Pulkovo Airport in St. Petersburg and LHT will provide comprehensive logistics support and component services.

TAM Gets UK Maintenance Approval
Swedish MRO Taby Air Maintenance (TAM) has received a UK CAA Maintenance Organization Approval Certificate to enable it to continue providing services to regional airlines in the UK post-Brexit.

MTU Authorized as Service Center for Honeywell LEAP Parts
MTU Maintenance has signed a 10-year license agreement with Honeywell for the maintenance and repair of accessories and line replaceable units for the OEM’s LEAP engine parts, including pneumatic valves, actuators, regulators and starters. MTU will perform repairs at its facility in Delta, British Columbia, Canada.

Avtrade Component Repair Support Agreement
Muirhead Avionics and Antavia have signed a three-year component repair support agreement with Avtrade. The contract includes test, repair and overhaul assistance across a range of avionics, radio and radar equipment alongside MRO support for aircraft lights, cabin and mechanical components.

Direct Maintenance Launches New Cologne Station
Magnetic MRO subsidiary Direct Maintenance has opened a new line maintenance station at Cologne-Bonn Airport in Germany. The station will cover line maintenance services for Boeing 747/757/767 and MD-11 type aircraft and Direct Maintenance says it will eventually add services for a wide range of Airbus, Boeing and Embraer aircraft types.

FL Technics Earns Cargo Modification STC
FL Technics has obtained an EASA supplemental type certificate for cargo carriage aircraft modification capabilities in the passenger cabin of Boeing 737 aircraft. It says the STC enables maximization of cargo capacity without full aircraft conversion to a freighter.

GA Telesis Signs Air Astana Agreement
GA Telesis has signed a repair management agreement with Air Astana covering repair services for spare parts, components and tooling for Airbus A320/A321, Boeing 767 and Embraer EMB190 aircraft types.

A-Technics Gets Regulatory Approval for Superjet NDT
Russian MRO A-Technics has successfully passed its Federal Air Transport Agency audit to expand its Sukhoi Superjet 100 aircraft maintenance certificate. It can now provide thermographic non-destructive testing services for the SSJ100.

Safran Nacelles Offering New Composite Repair Process
Safran Nacelles has completed its first structural bonded repair on an Airbus A380 nacelle acoustic internal fixed structure with prepreg composite that had suffered in-service damage. The repair innovation is part of a research and technology project launched by Safran Nacelles in 2018 and is being offered as part of the OEM’s NacelleLife product.
