Spirit Airlines Completes High-Speed Wi-Fi Installation
Spirit Airlines has completed the installation of Thales' FlytLIVE inflight connectivity system on its Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft. The carrier worked with Thales to retrofit its Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft with the connectivity modifications.

Ramco Deploys Its Aviation Suite For AACL
Ramco Systems has announced that its Aviation M&E MRO Suite V5.9 software has successfully gone live at Taiwanese MRO Air Asia Company Limited (AACL). Ramco says the rollout replaces AACL’s existing legacy system with modules for production planning, maintenance execution and supply chain management.

Aerospares 2000 Merges With Sentry Aerospace
Aerospares 2000 has announced the completion of its merger with U.S.-based aerospace aftermarket company Sentry Aerospace. Aerospares, headquartered in Watford, UK, says the merger creates “a tremendous platform for growth in the aerospace aftermarket.” Sentry founder, Tony DiSimone, Sr. will serve as executive chairman and Aerospares CEO Adam Nemenyi will act as CEO of the combined company.  

Delta Air Lines MRO Profits Recovering
Delta Air Lines has reported in its June Quarter 2022 Profit statement that its MRO revenue of $178 million during the period had reached 85% of 2019 levels.

AerSale Welcomes New Board Member
AerSale has appointed retired U.S. Air Force Lieutenant General Judith Fedder to its board of directors. Fedder, who served for nearly 35 years in the U.S. Air Force, later worked for Boeing. She is currenty a senior advisor at Boston Consulting Group and a member of the boards of GelSight and the Institute for Defense & Business.

Lufthansa Technik Reaches Carbon Neutral Goal With Aviatar
Lufthansa Technik has announced that its digital platform Aviatar is now operating as carbon neutral. The company’s digital fleet services division has had this certified by standardized reporting and offsetting via a certified compensation platform Squake.

Kontron Adds Third-Party Avionics Services
Kontron has added third-party avionics maintenance services at its production facility in Augsburg, Germany.

Boeing, ESG and Lufthansa Technik Expand Partnership
Boeing, Elektroniksystem- und Logistik-GmbH (ESG) and Lufthansa Technik have signed a three-party agreement to support Germany’s new P-8A Poseidon aircraft fleet. With this new agreement, all three companies will be responsible for executing the P-8A sustainment program in Germany.

Global Crossing Airlines Plans New MRO Facility
American Corporate Airport Partners recently signed a long-term ground lease to construct a widebody MRO facility for GlobalX at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport. Estimated at $25 million, it will consist of a 54,000 ft.2 hangar, which includes an aircraft ramp for staging and maneuvering and other facilities, including technical shops and office space.

AISG to Expand Across the U.S.
Mexican line maintenance company Aviation Integrated Services Group (AISG) has recently received a capital contribution from Discovery Americas. With this investment, AISG aims to continue its expansion throughout the U.S. The investment expects to improve the company’s service portfolio and growth within U.S., Canadian and Latin American markets.
