RwandAir Picks TRAX eMRO Software
RwandAir has selected TRAX eMRO software for aircraft maintenance and fleet management. The flag carrier airline of Rwanda operates a mixed fleet of 12 aircraft including Airbus A330s, Boeing 737NGs, Bombardier CRJ-900NGs and DHC-8 Q400s.
CAAV Mandating New Stored Aircraft Safety Measures
The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam has announced a requirement for enhanced safety measures for stored aircraft, including weekly inspections, covering and sealing openings outside the aircraft, and surface cleaning and anti-rust protection measures for hydraulic pipes and the components on brakes and wheels.
Nayak and AeroMates Partner on Wheel and Brake MRO
Nayak has partnered with German MRO AeroMates to offer full service MRO for wheels and brakes. AeroMates says both companies’ resources and expertise will be “optimally bundled” to offer solutions to customers
Air France Picks Michelin for Aircraft Tire Partnership
Air France has selected Michelin as its exclusive tire supplier in a new ten-year partnership, under which the airline’s fleet will be equipped with new or retreaded tires produced in Bourges, France. The partnership also includes efforts toward sustainability initiatives, such as Michelin’s recycling channels, high-performance ecological resins and 3D metal and plastic printing.
AirBaltic Establishes Maintenance Training Organization
AirBaltic has established and received certification for its new Maintenance Training Organization which will provide training and certification for aircraft technicians as part of airBaltic Training. Its first two groups of students will begin familiarization training in early February.
Revima Signs A330 Maintenance Support Agreement
Revima has entered into a long term Airbus A330 maintenance support agreement for a major North American operator. The contract covers landing gear and related components and the exchange and overhaul program will be carried out at its main facility in Normandy, France.
T3Tech and AMLS Maintenance Partnership
T3Tech and Aircraft Maintenance & Line Support (AMLS) have formed a partnership to provide technical consulting and line maintenance in Spain for lessor-stored and parked aircraft.
Vistara Upgrades IFE System
Vistara has become the first carrier to install Panasonic Avionics’ new 3D in-flight map application, Arc. The system has been launched on the airline’s Boeing 787-9 aircraft and it plans to progressively install Arc on its new Airbus A321neo aircraft.
Charter Carrier Picks Flightdocs Maintenance Software
Kalitta Charters II has chosen the Flightdocs Maintenance platform to support its charter and cargo fleet, including Boing 727s and 737s. It says the software will be a “game-changer” for how it operates, including capabilities for electronic signatures and creating auditable records for aircraft and operations.
Duncan Aviation Adds More Wi-Fi Installation Capabilities
Duncan Aviation has updated its existing supplemental type certificates (STC) for the Gogo AVANCE L5 Wi-Fi system, enabling customers to use the STCs to install the AVANCE L3 Wi-Fi system or a standalone Gogo AVANCE Smart Cabin System on Gulfstream GIV/GIV-X and Bombardier Challenger 300/350 and Challenger CL-650/CL-605/CL-604/CL-601-3A/CL-601-3R aircraft.
