Southwest Picks iAero Thrust for CFM56 Support
Southwest Airlines has signed an MRO services agreement with iAero Thrust for CFM56 engine support of its Boeing 737-700 NG fleet. The agreement includes on-demand hospital repair, on-wing support and test services over the next three years.
S7 Technics Recruiting Hundreds of New Graduates
S7 Technics has announced plans to recruit at least 300 graduates across its bases in Moscow, Novosibirsk, Mineralnye Vody, Irkutsk and Vladivostok over the next two years. It says the recruitment will help serve its growth plans, which include increasing the complexity and variety of repairs at its bases, opening a CFM56 overhaul workshop and the construction of a second hangar in Novosibirsk.
ExpressJet Picks C&L for aha! Supply Chain Support
C&L Aerospace has signed a five-year agreement with ExpressJet-owned leisure carrier aha! to provide full supply chain support for its fleet of Embraer ERJ 145 aircraft. The contract includes parts procurement, managed repairs, inventory management, shipping and logistics, on-site staff support and consignment inventory.
Magnetic Group Expands to U.S.
Magnetic Group is opening a new office and hub in Miami that will focus on the introduction of Magnetic Trading services in the local market, including spare parts and component solutions, a total asset management program, repair management and AOG spare parts supply. It will also have engine stands available for lease through its EngineStands24 business.

C&L Aerospace to Distribute Concorde ERJ Batteries
C&L Aerospace has signed a distribution agreement with Concorde Battery Corporation for its ERJ 135/145 Sealed Lead Acid Battery. According to C&L, the battery type is a more cost-effective alternative to nickel cadmium batteries with equal or better cold-weather performance.
TurbineAero Leadership Changes
TurbineAero is promoting Peter Gille, its current chief operating officer, to CEO. Rob Wilson, TurbineAero’s CEO since August 2018, will remain as its executive chairman.
Collins Expands APAC Propeller Services
Collins Aerospace has launched new MRO capabilities at its Malaysia campus for its 568F propeller to better serve ATR operators in the Asia-Pacific region. Collins will provide IATA III operators of ATR 42 and 72 aircraft with MRO services and access to a local pool of rotable spares. Initially, the exchange program will be supported by local operations and the repair and inspection services will be supported by Collins’ existing MRO centers in Europe.
MTU and Nayak Partner to Expand Service Offering
MTU Maintenance and Nayak Group have partnered to offer broader services to their customer bases. Under the collaboration, MTU will be able to offer aircraft line and base maintenance services performed by Nayak, while Nayak will be able to offer more extensive engine services performed by MTU.
