Magnetic MRO Gets Leap-1A, PW1100G Training Approval

Magnetic MRO Training, an international EASA Part-147 approved type training organization, has received an approval to provide Airbus A320neo LEAP 1a and PW1100G type training.

HAECO to Repair Telair Parts

HAECO Component Overhaul Xiamen has become the authorized repair center in China and Asia Pacific for Telair International under a ten-year partnership agreement. This partnership covers full repair services for all Telair power drive units and mechanical components on Airbus A320s, A330s, A330neos and A350s as well as Boeing 767s and 747s.

Barfield Names New Doral Facility Lead

The contract—SR Technics’ first ICS contract for the A330neo—covers component maintenance, flexible availability solutions, on-site support, pool access, logistics and facilitated leasing.

Ipeco Opens Beijing Seating Repair Facility

Aircraft seating specialist Ipeco has opened a Beijing repair facility as part of its Asia-Pacific growth, which will support the company’s best-selling seats in the region. The CAAC-approved facility’s start-up capability includes cockpit seating for Boeing 737, 767, 777 and 787 series and crew seating for Embraer E2 series aircraft. It plans to add galley insert repair capability in 2020.

FAI Technik Works to Meet ADS-B Deadline

FAI Technik has received an EASA STC for a Garmin ADS-B solution for Bombardier Learjet 60 aircraft, which has been completed on three aircraft so far. The company is seeking to modify three more Learjet 60s before year’s end to equip its entire Air Ambulance fleet. FAI Technik’s six other European-based Learjet 60s are scheduled for ADS-B modification in Q1 and Q2 2020.

GKN Opens New India Facility

GKN Aerospace officially opened on December 4 its all-new facility for electrical wiring interconnection systems in Pune, India. The site will focus on the assembly of wiring systems for commercial aircraft and aero-engines like the Airbus A320neo, Boeing 737, 777X and Boeing 787.
