IAMA Adds RFP Service, New Airline Member
The Independent Aircraft Modifier Alliance (IAMA) has launched a new service that enables airlines to easily complete a request for proposal online for specific upgrade requirements, after which IAMA will help the airline find the appropriate service from one of its endorsed members. It has also welcomed Qantas as its newest IAMA subscriber company.
New Epcor Managing Director
Dominik Wiener-Silva has been appointed managing director of AFI KLM E&M subsidiary Epcor. He takes over from Martijn de Vries, who has been appointed VP engine services in Amsterdam. Wiener-Silva comes to Epcor after five years working as AFI KLM E&M VP sales Asia Pacific in Singapore, where he spearheaded its growth strategy in the region.
ALL4JETS Signs CAMO Agreement
Nordic Aviation Capital (NAC) has signed a general terms agreement with ALL4JETS for CAMO services such as aircraft redelivery and annual/mid leased aircraft inspections, maintenance services after repossessions and training services in different parts of the world. The agreement extends the CAMO services ALL4JETS has been providing to the aircraft lessor since 2016.
HAECO Component Overhaul Adds New Capabilities
HAECO Group says its HAECO Component Overhaul (Xiamen) subsidiary has developed capabilities to complete line replaceable units overhaul for Boeing 777 landing gear within 20 days.
Proponent Offering Fuel Microbial Testing Kit
Proponent has partnered with Conidia Bioscience to distribute its Fuelstat testing kit to detect microbial contamination in jet fuel. The test can be performed right at the wing tank and provides digital reporting in less than 15 minutes. Proponent will be offering the test kits in boxes of eight or as a single test kit to its global MRO and airline customers.
Duncan Aviation Adds Tool Calibration Capabilities
Duncan Aviation is now offering tool calibration services for torque wrenches, multimeters, crimpers and other aviation maintenance tools at three of its Satellite Avionics facilities in St. Louis, Missouri; Scottsdale, Arizona; and Oxford, Connecticut. The equipment for calibrations will rotate between the shops several times a year as Duncan Aviation works to train more technicians for the capability.
GA Telesis Becomes WiN MS Equipment Distributor
GA Telesis has signed an agreement with WiN MS to become a global distributor of its wire network maintenance and monitoring equipment for testing and troubleshooting aircraft electrical wiring, HF/RF cable and fiber optic systems.
JAL Signs CFM56-7B Services Agreement
Japan Airlines (JAL) has signed a five-year TrueChoice Overhaul agreement with GE covering the CFM56-7B engines powering its fleet of 48 Boeing 737-800s. The agreement covers the time and material required to overhaul more than 100 CFM56-7B engines.
AirAsia India Signs Up for Skywise
AirAsia India has signed a 10-year contract with Airbus to become the launch customer of its Skywise Health Monitoring digital solution in the South Asia region and to adopt its Skywise Core aviation data integration platform. The airline will use the solutions to support maintenance of its A320 fleet.
Airbus Gets flyadeal Services Contract
Low-cost carrier flyadeal, owned by Saudi Arabian Airlines, has signed a long-term Flight Hour Services agreement with Airbus to support its A320 fleet. The contract will guarantee spare parts availability and include spare pool access, on-site stock at the main base, and components engineering and repairs.
