Barfield A220 Wiper Motors Agreement
AFI KLM E&M subsidiary Barfield has signed an agreement to become the exclusive distributor and warranty repair center for Falgayras’ Wiper Motors operated on the Airbus A220. The agreement will support Falgayras products in the Americas.

DHL Express Trent 700 Service Agreement
Rolls-Royce has signed a Totalcare agreement with DHL Express for the Trent 700 engines powering its eight Airbus A330 freighters. The agreement also coves any Trent 700 engines added to DHL Express’s fleet in the future.

StandardAero Gains New Helicopter and Turboprop Repair Certifications
StandardAero’s Accessories Center of Excellence in Hialeah, Florida has been certified by Honeywell Aerospace and Triumph Group to repair a variety of helicopter and turboprop engine line replaceable units. The license agreement with Honeywell includes repairs for Rolls-Royce M250 and Pratt & Whitney PT6T helicopter fuel controls and governors, while the Triumph agreement covers Rolls-Royce M250 hydromechanical units and fuel pumps.

Aero K Selects Rusada Envision Software
South Korean startup airline Aero K has chosen Rusada’s ENVISION software to manage their airworthiness, maintenance, inventory and support activities. Its first scheduled flight took place on April 15 from Cheongju to Jeju.

Topcast Signs Boeing 737NG Honeywell Distributor Agreement
Parts distributor and MRO provider Topcast Aviation Supplies has signed a five-year distributor agreement with Honeywell Aerospace. The agreement covers the exclusive distribution of mechanical components on Boeing 737NG aircraft in mainland China, including the starter generator, mechanical systems, and air and thermal line-replacement units.

AMES Furthers Cold Spray Capabilities
Airborne Maintenance & Engineering Services (AMES) has completed the renovation and expansion of its component repair/overhaul and manufacturing facility at Wilmington Air Park in Ohio. The expansion included the installation of more equipment for cold spray technology, which AMES has been pursuing in partnership with the University of Akron since 2015.

GATES Adding CFM LEAP-1A/-1B Services
GA Telesis Engine Services (GATES) has signed an agreement with CFM International to provide MRO support for LEAP-1A/-1B engines. The agreement builds on the companies’ existing partnership, under which GATES is already a licensed overhaul shop for CFM56-5B/-7B engines. GATES is now preparing to implement the LEAP program at its facility in Helsinki, Finland, including reviewing technical documents, training employees and obtaining necessary aviation authority approvals.

AFI KLM E&M Extends Airline Contract
Corendon Dutch Airlines has signed a long-term agreement with AFI KLM E&M covering component support for its Boeing 737NG and upcoming 737MAX fleets. Under the contract, AFI KLM E&M and Boeing partner teams will provide adaptive services, including maintenance and repair, as well as the provision of spare parts.

CSAT Adds Boeing 737 MAX Base Maintenance
Czech Airlines Technics has added Boeing 737 MAX base maintenance to its offerings following authorization from the Civil Aviation Authority of the Czech Republic. It will offer the service from its hangar at Vaclav Havel Airport in Prague and has already begun performing 737 MAX base maintenance for LOT Polish Airlines.

LHT Launching MRO SmartHub e-Auction During MRO Americas
As the launch customer of the International Air Transport Association’s new MRO SmartHub e-Auction platform, Lufthansa Technik will be placing a large amount of surplus aircraft parts up for auction during MRO Americas 2021. The auctioned assets will include components from Airbus A320/A320neo/A330/A340/A380, Boeing 737NG/737MAX/747/756/767/777/787, MD-11, Bombardier CRJ, Embraer ERJ and De Havilland DHC-8-400 aircraft.
