FL Technics will provide low-cost carrier Wizz Air with heavy maintenance services for its Airbus A320 CEO and NEO aircraft fleets from July 2022.

Under the terms of the agreement  with the Hungary-based airline, FL Technics will carry out services including both planned heavy maintenance checks as well as short-heavy maintenance visits from its facility in Vilnius, Lithhuania.

The contract will run for four years and builds on an existing cooperation related to line maintenance services. FL Technics also provides CAMO services to Wizz Air's Abu-Dhabi-based subsidiary.

Julia Brix, head of technical services at Wizz Air Group, says FL Technics offered a competitive cost base, operational flexibility and high service and performance quality which contributed to awarding the base maintenance services contract to FL Technics.

"We are looking forward to starting this cooperation and continuing the successful joint growth path in the next years," she adds.

Wizz Air operates an all-Airbus narrowbody fleet of 119 aircraft.
