Aviation Week’s 2023 Fleet & MRO Forecast predicts that commercial MRO demand in India will represent a value of $32.6 billion for the period of 2023-32.
The data shows that 50% of the total MRO demand in India will consist of engine maintenance, around $16.3 billion. Components and line maintenance account for 26% and 16% respectively, while airframe heavy and modifications will see demand around $1.3 billion and $1.2 billion, respectively.
According to Aviation Week data engine overhauls and C checks will comprise the largest share of MRO shop visits in India for the period 2023-32, at 43% and 37%, respectively.
It is forecast that India will see a total demand of 3,558 shop visits related to engine overhauls and 3,076 related to C checks for the period 2023-32. Meanwhile, there will be a demand of 902 engine LLP events and 675 D checks in the country over the next decade.
