Lufthansa Selects Boeing Inflight Connexion Service
Lufthansa opted for Boeing's Connexion inflight communications system in a move that represents a major boost for Connexion. After American, United and Delta, a fourth customer has signed up for the system, the first non-U.S. carrier. Lufthansa plans to offer Internet and e-mail access on board its long-haul fleet in all seats. Unlike deals reached with the three U.S. carriers, Lufthansa will not be a shareholder in the new company jointly owned by Boeing, United, Delta and American.
