ICAO MOVES TO IMPROVE AVIATION SAFETY IN AFRICA

The International Civil Aviation Organization now urges African nations to adopt several measures to ``remedy [ATC and navigation] deficiencies.'' Recommendations include better cooperation between nations, use of GPS and a requirement for airborne collision avoidance systems.
