Germany's highest court has struck

Germany's highest court has struck down as unconstitutional a law that would have allowed the armed forces to shoot down a passenger aircraft that was hijacked and suspected of being used as a weapon. The court ruled on procedural issues and also because innocent passengers would be harmed.
