Emirates First-Half Profit Plunges With Soaring Fuel Prices

Emirates saw its net profit drop sharply in the six months ended Sept. 30, the first half of the airline’s 2011-12 fiscal year. The airline posted a $225 million profit, down from $925 million a year earlier, and pointed at “unstable global economic, geopolitical and environmental conditions.”...
