The art on the fuselage of this CH-47 commemorates the June 2020 mission where it airlifted an abandoned bus, made famous in the book Into the Wild, by Jon Krakauer, and its subsequent film adaptation, from a remote location on the Stampede Trail in Alaska. The bus had become something of pilgrimage site for tourists, but was moved after some visitors needed to be rescued and at least one died.
