Kuwait close to Boeing Super Hornet decision

Kuwait is believed to be close to signing a deal for F-18 Super Hornets with US manufacturer Boeing.

Speaking in St Louis, Boeing’s defence headquarters, the company’s president Chris Chadwick, said he believed that Kuwait was close to making a decision. It would make Kuwait the third nation after the US and Australia to procure E- and F-model F/A-18s.
Kuwait is also understood to be considering the Eurofighter Typhoon which has been bought by both Oman and Saudi Arabia.
The future of the production line in the US has been in doubt but if Kuwait gives the go ahead and Canada and Denmark also sign deals , then the future is secured.
Chadwick said he could not comment specifically on any possible deal with Kuwait.
