From The Archives: First German Lockheed F-104s
Three of four Lockheed F-104F two-seat jet fighters delivered to the West German Air Force are shown in formation over Germany.
The total F-model order is 30, and 16 have been built at Burbank, California. Lockheed will also build 66 single-place F-104Gs with the first to enter flight test at Palmdale in October. Delivery is set for January 1961.
We reported that the F-model order would be completed in September 1960.
