From The Archives: F-117 Star Performer

This image of an F-117 is found on page 37 of the issue of Aviation Week & Space Technology, dated Dec. 30, 1991 - our annual photography issue. 

Stealth technology, as embedded in the Lockheed Martin F-117A. The aircraft came into its own during the Operation Desert Storm. The F-117'A's performance in the Gulf boosted its political stock and triggered a move to reopen the production line.
