$135 Billion Military Aircraft Market Opportunities Expected Over The Next Decade

Aviation Week Network’s new 2022 Military Fleet and MRO Forecast has identified open opportunities for the supply of 3,584 new-build military aircraft worth $134.8 billion over the next decade. With the global market worth $823.7 billion in terms of the delivery revenues that are expected to be generated, this means open or expected requirements account for around 16.4% of the total market.
Operators in the Asia-Pacific and South Asia regions are expected to generate almost half of the opportunities by value over the decade. India represents the single-largest country market in this regard, amounting to 421 aircraft worth almost $17 billion over the forecast period. Other key markets include the U.S. with $14.6 billion in opportunities, Saudi Arabia with $10.7 billion and South Korea with $10.2 billion.
