Colombian Volcano Erupts
Colombian authorities on Aug. 25 issued a red alert after the Galeras Volcano in the country’s southwestern region erupted. The non-explosive eruption in a region near the border with Ecuador has caused a smoke plum, although it is unclear how disruptive this event will be for commercial aviation.
