US FBO company to switch headquarters to Dubai
US based private aviation service provider,XJet, is to move its headquarters to Dubai and develop a new luxury FBO at Dubai World Central.
Under an agreement signed with DWC , the aviation city will build a world-class terminal for XJet at the new airpor. Private aviation operations will be switching to the new airport, close to Jebel Ali and the Dubai Marina, next April when runways at Dubai International are closed to business aviation as they are renewed.
XJet has a signed a 10 year lease agreement with DWC and is committed to establishing it’s global headquarters in the UAE.
The company launched its private Jet club at Denver’s Centennial Airport (APA) in 2007 offering the aircraft owner the unrivalled facilities and service available in the industry – all part of a vision by XJet founder Josh Stewart. XJet continued to refine its unique brand of Seven Star Service and opened to transient customers in 2009. The company has achieved double-digit growth since inception and currently ranks as the number one service provider in the US by customer surveys run by AIN and Pro Pilot magazines..
“We identified the U.A.E. early on as a key market for XJet’s global expansion and have worked diligently to secure the perfect opportunity,” said Stewart. “Dubai World Central provides an exceptional platform for our private club and FBO. With a projected doubling of private jet movements within the next five years, this region provides a tremendous opportunity for us and we are very excited about launching operations at DWC in the near future.”
Commenting on the deal, XJet’s partner Ali Al Naqbi – founding chairman of MEBAA - said, “When I first saw XJet Denver in 2007, I immediately recognized the importance of having this ground breaking service model in our region. Dubai World Central is the ideal location and has all the elements of success. We are very confident that this is the perfect opportunity for XJet to launch its exclusive Club and FBO in the Middle East. I am very excited that this vision is now a reality and I look forward to delivering XJet's award winning service in the UAE and beyond.”
