Private aviation flight hours are increasing across operator type. Aviation Week’s Tracked Aircraft Utilization data from the three-month period of March through May shows that corporate, fractional, charter and private operators all surpassed their hourly utilization performance against the same periods in 2024 and 2019.
The total hours for corporate operators—the largest of the four operator classes—came to just more than 970,000 hr. during the period, which is a 4% increase year-over-year compared to 2024 and a 15% increase above the same period in 2019, according to the Tracked Aircraft Utilization data.
