Product: AirCharter.com is an online air charter booking service with access to 14,000 aircraft, all of which are accessible through the AirCharter mobile app. In the app, users can manage their account information, access flight details and connect with the charter’s 24-hr. concierge service. The app also offers detailed aircraft guides that include information such as aircraft floor plans, cabin height and more. Additionally, AirCharter is offering free memberships with 10 free credits for verified registered users. The AirCharter app scored a 4.7/5 and 4.8/5 on Apple’s App Store and the Google Play Store, respectively.

2. Modern Functionality

Product: JSX’s app offers air charter booking services through the use of its “intuitive booking engine,” which is designed to give customers a simplified outlook on their trip options. According to JSX, trips can be booked via the app and paid via its encrypted payment functionality. Additionally, users can scan their credit card using the in-app OCR reader to update payment details. For those with Apple devices, boarding passes can be transferred from the app to Apple Wallet. For all users, the app can provide notifications for live flight updates. The JSX app scored a 4.3/5 and a 4.4/5 on the App Store and Google Play Store, respectively.

3. Real-Time Savings

Product: For those traveling in the South American region, Flapper is a Brazilian-based charter company aiming to “bring executive aviation to the mainstream traveler.” Through the company’s app, users can access “near-real-time” booking with instant price estimates. Flapper likens its service to that of Uber, in that an aircraft on Flapper can be chartered within minutes. Flapper also offers special pricing on shared or empty-leg flights, with rates starting at $200 per seat. In line with modern capabilities, customers can book and pay for their flights directly from the app, which has garnered more than 370,000 users with a total of over 18,000 flight hours. According to Flapper, the company boasts a 100% incident-free safety record throughout its operations. The Flapper app received a 4.8/5 and a 3.9/5 on the App Store and Google Play Store, respectively.

4. Transparent Flight

Product: JetApp, a small, European startup, centers its focus on digital technology to enhance transparency in the private aviation market. To that end, JetApp offers access to 10,000 aircraft across several established airlines and operators through its mobile app. According to the company, its online services are available in seven languages and do not require any membership fees or running costs. JetApp’s staff consists of a team of approximately 50 employees, who provide 24/7 flight booking and customer support as private aviation advisors. JetApp allows customers to pay for their trip via bank transfer and offers tiered aircraft categories: from Silver-level piston aircraft to Platinum-level VIP Airliners. JetApp does not currently have a rating on the App Store or Google Play Store.

5. Pay, Your Way

Product: LunaJets, a charter operator based in Switzerland, offers access to its global fleet of 4,800 aircraft through its mobile app. In the app, customers can make use of LunaJets’ jet comparison tool to browse options ranging from light jets to VIP airliners. Once booked, customers are able to use the app to manage all trip-related documents. Unlike other charters, LunaJets allows cryptocurrency payments via Bitpay, which is accessible through the app. According to the charter, no memberships are required and customers can enjoy LunaJets’ loyalty program, which offers discounts on the second, fifth, 10th and 15th bookings. Additionally, LunaJets offers discounts for each successful referral made. LunaJets is rated 4.9/5 and 3.5/5 on the App Store and Google Play Store, respectively.

6. Emergent Technology

Product: From aviation technology startup Jet.AI, CharterGPT leverages the power of artificial intelligence (AI) to consolidate the charter booking process. CharterGPT’s natural-language AI allows customers to plainly speak or text their specific needs in the app, where CharterGPT will supply preliminary quotes from charter operators, provide information about the charter process and even answer questions about charter aviation in general. If customers do not wish to use the AI functionality to book flights, the app includes a traditional booking workflow. CharterGPT scored a 4.2/5 and 4.6/5 on the App Store and Google Play Store, respectively.
