Premier Aircraft announced plans to open a new FAA Part 61 flight school at Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport (FXE) in Florida.

The company serves as a longstanding Diamond Aircraft dealer and will train students onboard the OEM’s DA40 NG aircraft.

“As the oldest Diamond dealer, we’ve had the chance to meet hundreds of Diamond aircraft owners, and repeatedly, they’ve asked us to suggest a good flight school to help them become familiar with their new airplane and its systems,” said Premier Aircraft CEO Travis Peffer. “Diamonds are known for being easy to fly, but still, there’s always that bit of apprehension that comes with any unfamiliar plane.”

According to Premier, the school will offer private through advanced instrument and commercial training programs individually tailored to each student.

“Some people just want to learn to fly on sunny Sundays, and others want to become professional pilots, and their individual training should match their goals,” Peffer said. “But no matter what they want to achieve, their training will be done in brand new, air-conditioned Diamond DA40 NG aircraft. The air conditioning is a must-have in summertime.”

According to Peffer, Premier plans to add Diamond’s DA42 aircraft for twin-engine training by mid-year. Additionally, Premier is actively working to open another flight school at its office in Fort Worth, Texas.

“Now, we’re in a position to offer that high level of training right here at our facility,” he said. “Nobody knows the Diamond aircraft family better than we do, and our team of experienced CFIIs will work with each customer to develop the ideal training curriculum for their needs.”
