Gallery: Daher's New TBM 980

The TBM 980 is the sixth iteration in the 1990s' TBM 900 product line, which Daher acquired from Airbus in 2014.

As the main improvement on the new version, Daher upgraded avionics to the Garmin G3000 Prime full-touchscreen suite.

For both pilot and passenger use, Daher has found space for a Starlink Mini terminal on top of the glareshield, where it has enough visibility to the constellation's satellites.

The TBM 980 includes a new fuel pump system to get rid of the environmentally harmful PRIST anti-icing additive in the fuel tank.

The $5.82 million TBM 980 retains a six-occupant capacity, including four in the passenger cabin.

The TBM 960 remains on the catalog for its lower price – $200,000 less than the TBM 980 – and the possibility for operators to have a homogeneous fleet.

Daher flew the EyePulse, a TBM-based demonstrator for uncrewed medium-altitude, long-endurance operations, late in 2025.
