MRO Phoenix Rising Aviation and aircraft sales company Global Jet Partners on Jan. 31 announced the first upgrade of a Dassault Falcon 900B with the Universal Avionics InSight flight display system.
The InSight system replaces the trijet’s Honeywell Primus Epic Control Display System/Retrofit avionics with a fourth-generation integrated flight deck featuring four high-resolution displays and two touchscreen control displays, with 3D synthetic vision system and associated digital maps. InSight includes Universal’s flight management system and UniLink data communications management unit, enabling FANS 1/A+, CPDLC and ATN B1 data link communications.
The InSight installation in the Falcon 900B is based on a supplemental type certificate awarded to Chicago Jet Group. Phoenix Rising Aviation, based in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, performed the installation during the aircraft’s C Check maintenance interval.
“This one-of-a-kind jet is a compelling example of the transformative potential of the InSight system,” said Warren Peck, Phoenix Rising Aviation president. “With InSight, Falcon 900B owners have a sustainable and cost-effective path to modernization, regardless of its original avionics configuration, ensuring that their aircraft remain competitive and valuable within the market.”
Global Jet Partners, based in Scottsdale, Arizona, is offering the refreshed Falcon for sale.
“We chose the cutting-edge Universal InSight avionics cockpit retrofit upgrade to bring this beautiful, older Falcon 900B up to the latest 21st century standards and enhance its market and resale value,” said Global Jet Partners CEO Michael Long. “After a five-month, complete upgrade, this aircraft is actively for sale and represents a high-value, turn-key market proposition.”
