Bahrain Airshow: Wallan Aviation expect good results in 2014
Wallan Aviation has said is already anticipating a better year than 2013.
Captain Saad Wallan said of his Saudi-based company: “We have high hopes for the new Cessna models due to enter service this year, the new Citation X, the new Sovereign+ and the M2.”
Wallan believes the two aircraft will possibly go to customers in Kuwait.
Wallan is also enthusiastic about Cessna’s acquisition of Beechcraft, and anticipates this stimulating the market for turboprops in the region. He said: “We also deal with Bell Helicopter, and there is strong interest for medevac and VIP versions here.”
Wallan Aviation also sells Dassault Falcon Jets (DFJs) in the Middle East, and Wallan said he is “very excited” about prospect for the new Falcon 5X, announced last year.
DFJ is proving popular in the Gulf, and has doubled its installed fleet in the region over the last five years. There are now more than 67 aircraft flying in the region. Last year Dassault delivered the first Falcon 900LX in Saudi Arabia to Wallan Aviation.
