From The Archives: Piper Aircraft Malibu

Aviation Week & Space Technology magazine put Piper Aircraft's new (almost 50 years ago) six-place pressurized Malibu on the cover of the February 21, 1983 issue.

The Malibu is pictured flying over the company's Vero Beach production facility in Florida. The aircraft is powered by a Teledyne Continental 310-hp TSIO520-BE piston engine incorporating two large aftercoolers and two turbochargers.
