From The Archives: Pilot Report - Cirrus SR20
The cover story in the August 21, 1995 issue is a pilot report of the Cirrus SR20 which we reported, combines safety, speed and comfort.
The prototype aircraft had been undergoing an advanced flight test stage, but at the time, we wrote that the company needed "at least $10 million to certify the aircraft and initiate production.
Highlights of the new Cirrus SR20 include a maximum cruise speed of 160 kt., nimble handling and a cabin designed for improved crashworthiness.
A second aircraft was nearing completion at the time of publication in 1995.
Read the pilot report of the Cirrus SR20 on page 52, including the aircraft's specifications and an interior photograph of the cockpit.
