New Beech Baron Twins were photographed in formation over Wichita on the cover of the December 26, 1960, issue.

The aircraft were designed to fill a gap between the company's Travel Air and Twin Bonanza, and were powered by Continental IO-470-L fuel injection engines. Thirty Barons had been rolled out in 1960.
