From The Archives: LTV High-Altitude Drone Piloted In Test Flight

On the cover of the March 2, 1970 issue is an LTV Electrosystems L450F unmanned strategic and tactical reconnaissance aircraft.

The aircraft was designed to operate at altitudes over 45,000 ft. and have endurance of more than 24 hr. The aircraft would be piloted during ferry flights.
