From The Archives: Gates Learjet Special Mission Demonstrator

On the cover of the February 26, 1979 issue was a production Learjet 35A with attach points under the wing and on board systems, including a Litton APS-504 radar and low-light-level television, to meet the requirements of a sea patrol role.  

The special mission demonstrator was kitted out by Gates Learjet, and was scheduled for a world tour following the Paris Air Show of that year.
