From The Archives: Business Flying Gains New Markets

See the cover page for the business flying section of Aviation Week & Space Technology in the Mar. 3, 1958 issue, which has a Beech MS-760 Executive Jet.

The section has two features. Read the first feature spanning five pages about how business flying gains new markets. Business flying is "outdistancing other segments of general aviation".

We wrote that "operationally, business pilots logged some 5 million hr. last year, approximately 1 million hours more than the combined total of all U.S. scheduled domestic airlines".

See a chart of business and utility aircraft shipments and see images of other business aircraft.

The second feature discusses the high demand for agricultural aircraft.
