Gama Aviation has opened a Business Aviation Center at Sharjah International Airport, northeast of Dubai in the United Arab Emirates.
For guests, the Business Aviation Center (BAC) includes a VVIP terminal with exclusive lounges, relaxation suites and an observation bar with hospitality comparable to five-star hotels, the company says. For aircrew, the site offers rest suites, round-the-clock dining, briefing rooms and priority parking next to the terminal.
The BAC also features a 12,000-m² (130,000-ft.²) three-bay hangar with premium parking, storage and line maintenance for aircraft. The hangar includes wide-span doors, direct access to the apron and space for several large-cabin aircraft, with controlled access to aircraft and “total security.” The site supports efficient arrival and departure processes with dedicated fueling, ground support equipment and integrated maintenance, repair and overhaul infrastructure for quick turnarounds, Gama says.
“The Business Aviation Center in Sharjah is the culmination of a 12-year partnership with Sharjah Airport Authority to foster private aviation growth at the airport,” Gama Aviation Group CEO Marwan Khalek says. “Strategically positioned as one of the United Arab Emirates’ key gateways, the airport offers convenient access to Sharjah, Dubai and the northern Emirates.
“This facility has been meticulously developed to establish new benchmarks for client comfort and operational excellence, with particular attention to the requirements of aircraft owners and operators,” Khalek says. “Our continuing objective is to position the BAC in Sharjah as a leading destination for business aviation traffic.”
As Dubai International Airport phases out business aviation traffic, Sharjah International Airport is an appealing gateway to Sharjah, the northern Emirates and Dubai, Gama officials say. The company began operations at Sharjah International Airport in 2014.
