
Pilatus PC-12 NGX Takes The Gold

Swiss-based Pilatus Aircraft delivered 34 PC-12 NGX single-engine turboprops during the first six months of 2022, making it the top delivered business aircraft of the period. Since its introduction, the aircraft, used for cargo and passengers, has amassed more than 7 million flight hrs. It has a range of 1,803 nm and a maximum cruise speed of 290 kt.

The Cirrus SF50 Vision Jet Earns 2nd

Cirrus Aircraft’s Vision Jet, comes in as the second SF50 most delivered business aircraft during the first half of 2022 with 32 deliveries. Sales remain strong for the very light jet, officials say, with 350 delivered since shipments began in December 2016. The company introduced the second generation G2 Vision Jet in January 2019 and the G2+ further improved model in October 2021. With rising demand, the company is working to increase production rates in 2022 and is expanding its factory services and flight training and delivery capacities. It recently completed its seventh facility at the Cirrus Aircraft Vision Center campus in Knoxville, Tennessee.

Third Place: The Cessna Citation Latitude

Textron Aviation’s Cessna Citation Latitude Model 680A business jet takes third with 22 delivered in the first half of 2022. The company introduced the Latitude in 2011 at the National Aviation Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition with first deliveries in 2015.

Piper PA46T Takes Fourth

Coming in fourth in the most delivered business aircraft category is Piper Aircraft’s PA-46-500T/600T. Piper, based in Vero Beach, Florida, delivered 21 PA-46 turboprops, now known as M-class aircraft, during the first six months of the year.

Pilatus PC-24 In 5th Place

Coming in fifth for the second year in a row is the Pilatus PC-24 light business jet. Pilatus delivered 20 PC-24 aircraft during the first six months of 2022. Customer deliveries began in 2018.

Bombardier’s Global 7500 Comes In Sixth

Bombardier delivered 18 Global 7500 ultra-long-range aircraft during the first two quarters of 2022, making it the sixth most delivered business aircraft of the period. The Global 7500 entered service in December 2018. In May 2022, Bombardier launched the Global 8000 at the European Business Aviation Association Convention & Exhibition in Geneva, Switzerland, with service planned for 2025.

Gulfstream’s G600 Ties For 7th Place

Gulfstream’s G600 twin-engine long-range jet comes in as the seventh most delivered business aircraft in a tie with Textron Aviation's Cessna Citation CJ4 Gen2. Gulfstream delivered 16 during the first half of 2022. Gulfstream delivered the first G600 in August 2019.

Textron Aviation delivered 16 Citation CJ4 Gen2 business jets during the first six months of 2022, making the model tied for seventh with the Gulfstream G600. The CJ4 Gen2 is the Model 525C. The company launched the CJ4 in 2006 with first delivery in April 2010. On Feb. 9, 2021, Textron Aviation introduced the upgraded version, the CJ4 Gen2, first delivered on March 9, 2021.

A Four-Way Tie: The Beechcraft King Air 260

In a four-way tie for eighth is Textron Aircraft’s Beechcraft King Air 260, with 15 deliveries during the first half of 2022. The company announced the King Air 260, an upgraded version of the King Air 250, in 2020. The aircraft carries up to nine occupants, has a range of 1,720 nm and a maximum cruise speed of 310 kt. The aircraft pictured here is a special mission King Air 260 for the U.S. Forest Service for use in wildfire mapping missions.

The Gulfstream G650/G650ER

Gulfstream Aerospace has delivered more than 480 G650 and G650ER long-range business jets since the G650 first entered service in 2012. Combined, the aircraft have set more than 120 city-pair speed records. Eventually, the G800, announced in 2021 and expected to enter service in 2023, will replace the G650ER, although Gulfstream has not announced a date production will end. Nearly half of the fleet operates in North America. During the first half of 2022, Gulfstream delivered 15 G650/650ER aircraft to customers.

Embraer Phenom 300 Light Jet

Also tied for eighth is Embraer's Phenom 300E. Embraer delivered 15 Phenom 300 and Phenom 300E business jets during the first half of 2022, following delivery of 56 Embraer 300 jets in 2021. The aircraft entered the market in December 2009 and has since amassed 640 deliveries. The jet, in operation in 39 countries, has accumulated about 1.5 million flight hr. In January 2020, Embraer announced the enhanced Phenom 300E version with first delivery in June 2020.

Textron Aviation's Citation M2 Gen2

Textron Aviation unveiled the Cessna Citation M2 Gen2 light jet and the Cessna Citation XLS Gen2 midsize jet during NBAA-BACE in 2021 to increase comfort and productivity for passengers and pilots. Textron said the upgrades to the M2 and XLS+ were due to customer feedback. Deliveries of the Citation M2 Gen2 totaled 15 during the first half of 2022.
