Jet-A Fuel Declines In December 2023, FBOs Report

The national average for a gallon of Jet-A fuel totaled $7.06 in December, down 6 cents compared to November’s national average, according to a fuel survey of U.S. FBOs by Aviation Research Group. Prices are retail and include all taxes and fees.  When compared to a year ago, December fuel prices are down 24 cents.

Fuel prices declined in all but one of the eight U.S. FAA regions in December compared to a month , with the only increase in the Western Pacific region where prices rose 37 cents compared to November. The largest monthly price decrease was in the Great Lakes region, with prices down 26 cents. The most expensive region was the Western Pacific region with average fuel prices of $7.99 per gal. in December, while the least expensive region was the Central region at $6.31 per gal.
