OSHKOSH, Wisconsin—Epic Aircraft, based in Bend, Oregon, has received EASA Type Certification for its E1000 AX high-performance single-engine turboprop, paving the way for deliveries throughout Europe, the company announced on the opening day of EAA AirVenture Oshkosh.
Epic Aircraft will begin selling into Europe in 2027, officials say.
“Interest there has been high. EASA certification for the E1000 AX is a significant milestone and reflects the dedication, expertise and perseverance of our entire team,” said Doug King, CEO of Epic Aircraft.
“The E1000 AX has earned a reputation for exceptional performance, advanced safety technologies and first-class comfort. We’re excited to bring those capabilities to pilots and owners throughout Europe.”
The aircraft has a maximum cruise speed of 333 kt. and a maximum range of 1,560 nm.
