Avic has begun deliveries of its Y-20 Kunpeng heavy airlifter to the Chinese air force, nine years after the program was  launched. The Y-20 is entering service in an initial version equipped with the low-bypass Saturn D-30KP engine, possibly built locally as the WS-18.
