Atlantic Southeast Holds Cost Line, Earns 24.2 Percent More

Atlanta, Ga.-based Atlantic Southeast recorded a record net profit of $13.3 million, or 44 cents per share, in the first quarter of 1998 - a 24.2% increase from first quarter 1997's $10.7 million - as the company's revenues rose 4.6% to $93.7 million, also a record, while expenses climbed just 0.7%...
