American puts Asian carriers' investment feelers on hold
Several Asian carriers have approached American about potential equity investments, "but so far, we have resisted," Chief Financial Officer Gerard Arpey said yesterday.American is awaiting word on its Aerolineas Argentinas investment and is considering buying part of Iberia.
