Turkey takes another 777-300ER
Turkish Airlines is in talks with India's Jet Airways about leasing a fourth Boeing 777-300ER from the Asian carrier. Jet has wet-leased three of the type to Turkish Airlines and four to Gulf Air, although as reported on Arabian Aerospace the Bahrain airline is not intending to retain them.
The latest leased aircraft will take a Turkish registration and will be operated by Turkish crew for a period of two years.
Turkish Airlines has ordered five 777-300ERs for delivery between October 2010 and February 2011 from Boeing but needs the leased aircraft to meet its growing requirements.Related Content
