SITA launches SITA AirsideApp

SITA has launched the Windows 10 universal app, SITA AirsideApp, which digitises ground based processes and works on phones and tablets.

SITA worked with Microsoft to develop the app, replacing paper-based process by integrating the airline, airport and ground handler systems used in ground operations and sharing information in real time.
The app has been used across the Middle East and is shown to reduce administration time by up to 30% and increase the accuracy of time-stamped activity recording by up to 25%.
“By moving from paper-based checklists and operations, SITA AirsideApp eliminates fragmented processes and enables workforce collaboration. This agile way of working means it is easier to make the right decision quickly every time,” said Dan Ebbinghaus, senior vice president, Communications and Infrastructure, SITA.
AirsideApp allows integration of different data sources and combines it with mobile precision timing, ensuring data is display to ground agents based on their individual needs.
It displays activity recorded and collected by mobile users, such as fuelling, cleaning, catering deliveries, gate openings and passenger check-in to supervisors on a clear business intelligence dashboard.
