RAYTHEON earned $861m on $7.4b sales in 3Q19 vs $644m on $6.8b in 3Q18; backlog stands at $44.6b. It says merger of equals transaction with UTC's aerospace businesses (Collins Aerospace and Pratt & Whitney) remains on track for 1H20.

Steve Costley is responsible for the overall production SpeedNews. Steve has over 30 years of experience with SpeedNews, now part of the Aviation Week Network. He joined the company in August 1989 as an Associate Editor and was named Managing Editor in 1994.
